As long as there isn’t an existing ShopWatch Scheme already in place, setting up a scheme requires some involvement from a business crime reduction partnership (BCRP) or business improvement district (BID). Alternatively, it can be set up by the local council or a local community police force, or a local shopping centre; a demonstration of shops wishing to be a part of the scheme is also important for evidence of a requirement.
